Computers in Homes graduates attended a special event on Tuesday 20 June to celebrate completion of their course. Congratulations to all who attended, and best wishes with using their computers at home.
The recently renamed school has run classes before as Mansell Senior School, and Computers in Homes is pleased to be able to support another course under the new branding. Tutor Graeme Gibb is keeping the group in order, and helping them with the course materials. They plan to graduate and collect their free computers by the end of June.
Parents of children at a number of local schools in Manurewa joined the Computers in Homes course currently being held at Leabank School. Tutor Val Pora, who also works in the school office, is helping students through the lessons. This will give them the skills to use their computer when they take it home at graduation.
We still have places left on Computers in Homes classes at Leabank School in Manurewa, and Papakura Intermediate in Papakura.
If you know someone who has a child in a local school, and does not have a computer at home, please enquire at the reception area for the school this week.
Principal Bec KauKau is inviting local people to come along to a renaming ceremony on Wed 29 March, 10.30 - 11am. Ex-students Jerome Kaino and P-Money will be attending. Old photos will be on display all day!
